I have been playing the guitar since I was 13 and now I am 61,I have psoriatic arthritis, I've noticed when play bar chords I can feel the pain in my wrist and fingers,super sorry your dealing with arthritis,love your dog.😅
So sorry you have arthritis, also...until I had surgery on my index finger (fretting hand), I lost the ability to play barre chords😞... but when the bone spur was removed, the pain was gone... enabling me to play barre chords again🙂 Hope you can get some relief. And thank you.... my dog was very special.

Great video. I purchased a guitar sometime back with a slim C tapered neck. That neck forced me to bend my fingers too much and it pained. And I realized I have bone spurs in my finger joints. It does not happen that much with my other guitars.

I have marfans and am unable to develop calluses at all. The underlying mechanism has its ups and downs, like no scars. To play string, I had learned to just play with extreme focus and careful pressing. This made playing not fun, so I learned to play with just plucking. I'll have to try these out for my guitar and guqin.
Sorry to hear that you have marfans but glad you are trying to play the guitar. Have you considered using nylon strings? They are easier to press down on.... or even a lighter gauge string. Silicone finger tips may help you also. Best wishes to you.
The trouble with that is I prefer a deeper pitch like I get with didgeridoo xD. Catgut, silk, and some flatwound are easier but the pressure is the difficult part. Will def have to try the finger tips. Although I would prefer if I could get like a finger tip slide / finger picks so I can use them for guqin. It is fretless and played with both hands while usually the left hand presses (and lots of sliding fun).@@DogsLuvUNoMatterWhat
I never played a guqin.... looks like a neat instrument. Not suggesting you do this but I use to put layers of superglue on my finger tips when I had 3 hour gigs... even though I had calluses, they would soften from extensive playing and my hands getting warm.

Thank you... I'm sorry you have a bone spur..... when they push on a nerve, there is pain. I eventually had to have surgery.... when the pressure was off the nerve, the pain was gone! I actually have more bone spurs in my fingers.... I learned accidentally from massaging my dog Angel with Frankincense carterri and copaiba oils with olive oil temporarily relieves the pain in my pinkies!!! Not so much my index finger, but really helps with my painful pinkies! It's worth trying! Hope your pain can be relieved. Sadly, I lost my beloved Deacon... willl be 5 years on Friday 😥💔

Hi there. Great video. My dog has a big pressure sore open wound, do I “fill up” the whole wound with sugardine? Of just put some in the wound? I see some white stuff is hanging inside the big open wound, do I apply the sugardine in between the layer of those white stuff? Thank you
Hi...I'm not a veterinarian so I can't tell you what to do, but I will tell you what I did for my dog. I packed her sore with sugardine and taped a piece of gauze over it . Probably the white stuff you are seeing is debridement. I hope your dog is ok.

Beautiful song and so unbearably sad. Your story is a good reminder for kennels and veterinarians that it’s not only adults who suffer the losses of the companion animals they wrongfully destroy. It’s also the children who loved them. These scars don’t heal no matter how long the lifetime, especially when justice is denied.

You are absolutely right.... the pains of these senseless losses caused by negligent veterinarians never goes away.... veterinarians need to be held accountable for their actions... and laws need to be changed on behalf of victims.... animal companions are family.... and should not be labeled as "property" in the eyes of the law.

Hi , Actually my dog has canine distemper and like she is recovering from the distemper somewhat and suddenly when she was unable to walk these sore popped on both the thighs and it's hard to clean both at the same time. And during the canine distemper it's even harder. So is this very serious where we have to operate or put an injection regularly? Can we treat them in home using some medicines? And also the vetinary hospital is too far. Here the private vets are not even willing to come as she has distemper 😞
I'm not a vet but if she has sores on both sides, perhaps get the foam as shown in my video and cut it into a wedge shape with holes cut where the sores would be so there is no contact and air circulates. Her wounds need to be clean. There is a vet group on Facebook that will answer questions for free.

I've been playing almost 50 years now and have developed a good size bone spur in my thumb joint of my left hand I chord with and it can be very uncomfortable at times and God forbid I bump it against something . Very painful. Thanks for this video . I'll try your treatments
Sorry you are dealing with this....I totally understand about the pain.... you may need surgery as a last resort. I ended up having surgery on two of my fingers for the bone spurs. Pros and cons with surgery.... I have painful bone spurs in my pinkies.... it's the nerves that hurt... I hope you can get some relief....I had cortisone injections before my surgery... it helped but is not without side effects.

Out of curiosity, is it a proper wheel chair? In the video it sort of looks like it's not supporting her much?
Hi . Thank you for your concern... yes.... the wheelchair is fine.... Angel has multiple issues at her age (13.5 years old) rendering her to have mobility issues with her front and rear legs. I actually have front wheels for the wheelchair but Angel seems to walk better without them attached.
@@DogsLuvUNoMatterWhat My old dog had joint problems at that same age. We were so happy to find out that a powder/pills containing the New Zealand green-lipped mussel really helped him with that. I kept it in mind and always suggest it to everyone. It was such a relief to find it back then.
@Ragdoll So happy it helped your dog. They deserve every ounce of love and care. Angel is on lots of supplements and gets regular therapy. She was taken to the specialty hospital to have an MRI but they refused to do it because they said with her hip dysplasia, spinal stenosis, spondylitis, etc she would not be a candidate for surgery... so I am keeping her comfortable. She loves life!
So glad animals have these wheelchairs so they can be more independent. I have a power chair and it made a huge difference (even with winter😛). How do your pets adjust getting around when it snows? Thanks hooman Mum for making their lives better. You're awesome. 😁
Thank you for your very kind comment. To be honest with you, we haven't had much snow this year. Angel always loved the snow.... I'm sure her wheelchair would do fine in it. My first special needs dog could run everywhere in her wheelchair... even in the snow... but she was younger than Angel and had a different condition. Many blessings to you😊
I just had knuckle replacement surgery due to advanced arthritis. Best part of this video is the doggo love - I have 2 doggos. Anyway, I am in the early therapy stage trying to bend my swollen digit (ring finger/left hand) doing the same type of exercises you suggest. Taking care of your hands is imperative since I also paint and draw.
I'm sorry about your hands.....I hope you heal quickly.....dogs are the best....I ended up having surgery on two fingers on my fretting hand in 2018 to have bone spurs removed.... since then I have developed bone spurs in my pinkies.....it really sucks when you rely on your hands for your income...but more so your passions.....I also paint and draw but haven't done so in a few years....life seems to get in the way. Sending you positive thoughts for a complete recovery.
This video was very helpful, looks like my dog but bigger! My dog is quickly paralyzed likely by spinal tumor. He is struggling A LOT to sit on his elbows, essentially only on his side, often is like his legs wont bend and hes rapidly pushing outward. Did you experience this with your dogs with DM?
Similar traits.... have you had xrays or an MRI of your dogs spine? My current special needs dog was misdiagnosed as having DM. Vet said she did not have hip dysplasia but xrays showed she does have hip dysplasia. She also has spondylitis in her spine which has rendered her unable to walk without assistance. Perhaps chiropractic care and acupuncture may help your dog. If it's arthritis, galliprant is one of the safer nsaids for dogs. I hope your dog gets better.
@@DogsLuvUNoMatterWhat Thank you, have had xrays and there was some minor spondylitis, but 2 Drs did not believe it enough to factor. MRI and neurologist appt in a few days, ER dr is sure it's a spinal tumor though, encouraging euth. It seems like he could be happier if he could sit on his elbows easier, and that rigid stiff legs was due to the vet tech dropping him on the pavement, or him being new to the rear paralysis (only happened over 4 days last week). Drs are certain everything is caused by spinal tumor. Hope the best for yours as well
